Why green hydrogen is strategic for Brazil
Currently one of the main obstacles in this sector is the high cost of production (2 to 3 times the cost of hydrogen produced from fossil fuels); consequently, the cheaper the energy used to generate green hydrogen, the bigger the possibility to expand its production chain.
Brazil is currently in first place among clean energy producing countries (83% of its matrix is electric, deriving mainly from hydroelectric power plants, but with a growing presence of wind, solar and biomass energy), therefore it has the potential to offer one of the most competitive Green Hydrogen prices in the world.
The Brazilian green hydrogen ecosystem
Our main objective is to increase and sustain the interest of entrepreneurs, strengthen the Brazilian innovation ecosystem and create technological solutions to improve the production, distribution and application of this energy matrix in different sectors of the economy.
Our goal is to be the reference company in the sector, through the construction, promotion and orchestration of the Brazilian Green Hydrogen Ecosystem. We work daily to connect and provide value to the various agents that make it up: reference companies, investors, researchers, non-profit institutions, international ecosystems, startups and government.
Since each stakeholder has a different need in reference to what the ecosystem can offer, we have mapped each of them to deliver what they need in a personalized way.
Thanks to the experience in the management of innovation laboratories, our local partner Pieracciani Ltda has been selected by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) – an international cooperation society linked to the German government through the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce (AHK) of São Paulo. – to manage the operation of the iH2Brasil – Innovation in Green Hydrogen program.
